B2Q assists clients to participate in automated demand response (ADR) programs to reduce energy use and generate revenue. ADR programs are operated by electric utility companies and independent service operators who offer monetary incentives to reduce building electric demand when the grid is stressed. We design and commission HVAC and lighting control sequences to automatically reduce electric demand during demand response events. B2Q also develops ADR strategies for clients with battery energy storage systems to export stored energy to the grid when events are called.

We utilize monitoring-based commissioning software to track equipment operations and demand reduction during demand response events to help owners and facility managers understand and improve performance in order to maximize demand response payments.
